Repeat Prescriptions

If you take a medication regularly your doctor will arrange for you to get a number of repeat prescriptions which will allow you to order your medication in between your review appointments.

When you have a weeks supply left either:

  • Tick off the items you need on your prescription counterfoil and post it in the post box provided at the prescription window in the surgery foyer.
  • Telephone our dedicated prescription line (01823 250250) on weekdays between 9.00am and 1.00pm when a member of staff will be available to help you with your request.  Please remember that we need full details of the medicine you require, so make sure you have them handy.  We recommend you try to avoid Mondays and Tuesdays, as these are our busiest days.
  • Alternatively, you may post the counterfoil (enclosing a stamped addressed envelope) and we will post your prescription back to you.  Please allow several days for postal delays.
  • You may also fax your request (01823 250200).  Please make sure you give us the correct name and dosage of the medication you require (you should find this on your repeat medication slip), your full name and address, the name of the doctor you are registered with, and your date of birth.
  • You may place your request on the Practice Website.

If you choose to order your repeat prescription by fax or on the practice website you must agree to take responsibility for the information you are submitting us.

Note:  If you have an arrangement to collect your prescription items from a particular pharmacy be sure to let us know when you order your repeat medication.

Prescriptions will be available for collection after 2 working days, provided we receive your request before 1:00pm. If you have arranged to collect your prescription from a pharmacy  please allow an extra day for your prescription to be prepared.
